BYpass is a module complementary to the filtration devices. It allows routing the air stream collected by the devices either to the filters or free flow section.
The BYpass module is one of the THERMOtec filtration device modules. The structure of the device is based on two counter-rotating dampers. The dampers are motorized with an electric actuator controlled by the automation system module downstream of the BYpass device.
Damper positions are binary, which enables two air flow scenarios. The first one is routing the air stream to the filters, while the second one is routing the air to BYpass free flow sections.
The BYpass module is designed for optimizing air flow. It is fitted with a solid particles sensor, measuring air quality parameters at the inlet of the device. Depending on the air quality, the automation system decides whether filtration is needed or not.
When filtration is enabled, the BYpass module dampers are set in the appropriate position. If filtration is not needed, the air is routed to the free flow sections.
BYpass is available in the ranges shown in the table below.
Model | Air flow | Power supply | Power consumption | Flow resistance | Device dimensions |
m³/h | V AC | W | Pa | (W) x (H) x (L) mm | |
6.0 | 400-800 | 230 | 5 | 10 | 608x529x115 |
10.0 | 800-1200 | 230 | 5 | 10 | 795x682x115 |
16.0 | 1200-2000 | 230 | 10 | 10 | 1480x682x115 |
Air flow economizer module. For Application in series 6.0 and above devices. Routes the air stream between the free flow chamber and filtration sections.
BYpass is always the second module of the entire filtration assembly. With this module, the air is routed either to the filters or to the free flow section. It is installed downstream of the INlet intake module and directly before the target filtration modules.
